All visitors to Australia from other countries require a valid visa to enter Australia, with the exception of New Zealand passport holders who meet certain requirements. To get an appropriate visa option for you to enter Australia, you are recommended to visit the Department of Home Affairs website to check visa options that might suit you.
- eVisitor Visa (Subclass 651): EVisitor-eligible passport holders can apply for an eVisitor visa (subclass 651) without visa application charge or service fee.
- Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) Visa (Subclass 601): ETA-eligible passport holders can apply for an ETA visa (subclass 601), which should normally cost AUD$20 service provider charge.
- Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) in the Business Visitor stream: Passport holders who are not eligible to apply for the eVisitor or ETA visa are recommended to apply for a Visitor Visa (subclass 600) in the Business Visitor Stream, the cost of which begins at $140 AUD.
When applying for the visa, you may be required to provide a visa support letter. DSAA can provide visa support letters to attendees after receiving the requests to dsaa2020@dsaa.co. The request should include the following information:
- Name as it appears on the passport
- Registration confirmation number
- If any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title.
- An email address where the letter can be sent
Visa support letter requests will be handled in order; thus early requests are encouraged. Provided any questions about the visa support letter process, feel free to contact dsaa2020@dsaa.co.
